Where are the donations going to?

After we've collected the donations, we will be sending it to:
Pertubuhan Masyarakat Prihatin Kota Baru in Bachok, Kelantan.
NOTE: The Cuddly Project is a community service done by us and it is not a project organized by Prihatin. We're doing this project to give support to the kids.

A brief history on Prihatin:
Prihatin was founded in August 2004 by a staff nurse, Puan Zaimah, working in the HIV/AIDS unit of Kota Baru General Hospital when she saw the sufferings of HIV positive women and their infected and affected children.

The objectives of Prihatin are:
- To give emotional support to single mothers infected with HIV/AIDS.
- To form networking of support group among women infected with HIV/AIDS.
- To help reduce stigmatization and discrimination in society against people living with HIV/AIDS.
- To empower single mothers infected with HIV/AIDS to be agents and speak up on issues related to HIV/AIDS.

When Prihatin was formed in 2004, it had 40 HIV/AIDS infected single mothers. Now, Prihatin has 420 HIV/AIDS single mothers registered with them, 168 infected children and 392 affected.

It also runs a residential shelter home in Bachok for those who have no place to go and there are 5 families staying there. The home is also used for carrying out activities for Prihatin members and their children.
